Site is under Consturction

Welcome to my webpage, which is devoted to Anime, Science Fiction, Video Games, Writing, and an Interactive website known as the FPL (Fantasy Powers League). This page is one of my personal experiments with HTML, but I plan to use this site to its fullest. You can navigate through the sections on the left to get everything from information to pictures to reviews of my favorite anime, video games, or movies/television shows.

This page will be modified often, and I will continue to add more sections If I choose to.

Science Fiction Sections:

Each of the sections in this category contains pictures, information, and some obsessive technical information about my favorite Science Fiction shows/movies.

Star Wars:Pictures, Information, and news regarding one of my favorite Sci-fi Universers of all time, Star Wars!

Robotech: An Amalgamation of 3 unrelated Japanese Anime series, Robotech has a complicated history of how it came to be, but the end result was a show that was good on its own, and has quite the fan following even now. This section contains a lot of technical information about the races, technology, and (my favorite part) the star ships

Star Wars vs. Star Trek: Am I a nerd? Yes. Hell Yes. Although, I can happily announce that I'm not as bad as they come (I've been to a convention before...). The argument has been around since, well, since nerds existed. Coming off of many a discussion about this topic from a message board dedicated to talking about fantastical battles between different characters from different stories/movies/etc, I have decided to compile a lot of information about what would happen if these two would fight. Who would win? My information, as you will read, leans heavily towards Star Wars, and is supported by Canon evidence.

Babes of Sci-Fi A clean look at some of the female actors who have portrayed memorable science fictions characters in the past. Includes small galleries for Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher circa 1983), Terry Farrel, Jeri Ryan, Natalie Portman, and more.

Evangelion Sections:

Evangelion is one of my favorite animes, so I have decided to give it its own section. Evangelion is a very complicated and controversial series. On the outside, it appears to be another series about humans using giant mechanical creations to save the people of earth from invaders. However, the story turns out to be something much more. Director Hideaki Anno made Neon Genesis Evangelion a series devoted to philosophy; to life. The characters don't just exist for the story, they question existence, its meaning, and the purpose of their lives. The story also features aspects of psychology, and contains many religious symbols. To say the least, it was a very big and interesting project, one that was met with controversy, endless debates, and much popularity. The Information section contains some very basic info and pictures to look at, while the Analysis Section is a deeper look at the symbols and philosophies in Evangelion. Be aware that Spoilers will be in this section! There is also the Rei Ayanami Shrine, a small page devoted to the character Rei from Eva.

Anime Sections:

Beginner's anime: This single page is one large introduction to Anime, and suggestions of what to watch for a start. These anime series are quite well known in the States, though are by far only beginners stuff and are at the lower rung of the anime ladder. Some series to start with include Dragonball (Z, GT), Sailor Moon, and Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors).

Essential Anime: This section is devoted to all the animes which are considered to be among the top level of the media. Record of Lodoss War is considered to be Japan's foremost fantasy anime, and Vision of Escaflowne, in my opinion, is just as good for Fantasy lovers. For Sci-fi lovers, Cowboy Bebop remains to be one of the most popular anime in American and Japan at this time, and for hardcore Sci-fi, it doesn't get much better than Crest of the Stars and its sequel Battleflag of the Stars I and II (known as Banner of the Stars I and II in the States). Also, a good Sci-Fi comedy known as Tenchi Muyo is good for some fun and laughs, as is the Fantasy comedy The Slayers. Each page listed under the Essential Anime is a combination of Preview, Review, and pictures.

Anime Reviews and Humor:

Misc. Anime Series Reviews: Reviews of other anime besides the ones above. This section covers different Anime series that I have seen, and while I may have in fact loved them, I didn't feel like making a page devoted to them like the others. It offers my opinion and a rating. You can use them if you want to find out more about an anime series.

Anime Movie Reviews: This section includes my personal revies of anime movies that I have seen. Several of them may be based on other series. I offer my humble opinion on each title and include some information on them.

Babes of Anime: No, I'm not so obsessed as to think that an anime character is real. I have no intention on starting a relationship with a 2-dimensional character. However, I see nothing wrong with liking certain human animations. If anyone can make animation provocative, its the Japanese. Like Babes of sci-fi, this is just a clean look at some of the best women in anime. Keep in mind, looks don't count for everything. Characters in this section have to have a good personality and must be really cool. Also, for a fun read, check out Animerica Magazines "Sexiest Characters in Anime and Manga" issue.

Fantasy Powers League

The Fantasy Powers League is an interactive website where you use a specially programed "character creator" to create a character of any kind you want. Create a comicbook-style super hero or villain, an Anime-style character, a wierd character, a comical character, or anything else. You use "points" to buy specific powers which you can use in creative ways to describe who your character is and what they do. Characters are then placed in random battles against other characters made by other people. Characters with 5 wins go to the Elimination Rounds, and characters with 8 or more wins are immortalized on the Hall of Fame! While its cool enough to be a participant, the real fun comes in writing fan fictions, or stories essentially, about your characters and how they live and act in the world in which this game takes place, Khazan. I myself dedicated 100% of my FPL character efforts to setting up characters and scenarios that run parallel with my major Fan Novel, War of Drekis, which is 30+ chapters. In the "Other Sections" area, you can check out the Links page, which has a link to the page described above, as well as a link to my Fan Fiction page where War of Drekis is contained, and a Character gallery of the characters I created in the FPL (at least, some of them).
